EXAMINATION SYSTEM

PRIMARY WING

PRE-SCHOOL & PRE- PRIMARY CLASSES

  • Learning is an ongoing , wholesome process will evaluated in a continuous comprehensive manner. The comprehensive assessment process, at this step, will focus on the daily, consistent progress made by the child in academic as well as co-curricular activities.
  • The assessment procedure will be based on the child’s daily interaction in the class his/her level of general awareness, the quality of work produce by him/her, internalization of the concept taught during the course of classroom interaction and the consequent learning outcomes in written and oral assessment throughout the year.

    Class I -II

  • Class I - II will have three terms in the academic session :
    Term-I:- April-September
    Term- II:- October-December
    Term III:- January- March
  • Continuous assessment of the child will be done by means of Revision Assignment and Subject Specific Task along with general observation in class.
  • Each term will comprise the following :-
    • Two Revision Assignment per subject (English, Hindi, Math and EVS)
    • Subject Specific Task constituting continuous Assessment (In subject English, Hindi, Maths and EVS )
  • Letter grades based on a 4 Point scale will be awarded in each subject.
  • Computer, General Knowledge, Moral Values, Physical education and activities like dance, Music and Art will also be assessed on 3 point scale.

    Class III - V

  • Classes III - V will be have two terms each in the academic session.
    Term-I :- April to September
    Term-II :- October to March
  • Each term will have two round of unit tests, One term exam and one round of internal assessment in each subject (English, Hindi, Maths, EVS, Computer and G.K)
  • Each term will comprise the following :-
  • Each round of the unit test will have one test per subject of 20 marks.
  • Term exam for each subject will be of 100 marks.
  • Each round of internal assessment in every subject will be of 15 marks.
    Term wise weightage and distribution of marks in each subject is as follows:-
    Term-I Unit Test 10% Mid Term 15% Internal assessment 15% Total 40%
    Term-II Unit Test 20% Mid Term 25% Internal assessment 15% Total 60%
    Final result= Term-I +Term-II
    = 40% +60%
    = 100% marks.
  • In each term, syllabus tested in the unit test of all subject will also be tested in the term exam for classes III - V .
  • Letter grade based on a 8 point scale will be awarded in each subject .
  • Physical education and activities in the Dance, Music, Art will also be assessed.

SENIOR WING
CLASS (VI – VIII)

  • Two unit tests will be conducted in each term.
  • Yearly syllabus is divided into two terms for classes 6th to 8th. The syllabus covered in first term will not be included in the Second Term. However , certain topic in mathematics and science will be carried forward to the second term.

  • Subjects offered : (Scholastic) – English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Computer Science, III Language (Sanskrit), Letter grade based on a 8 point scale will be awarded in each subject.
  • Co – Scholastic Activities: Work Education, Art Education, Health and Physical Education and Personal and Social Traits are assessed on three point scale (A-C)
